Sage

Sage was known already in the ancient pharmacies, at that time for production of cosmetics and for its curing abilities - an old saying was: "why should a man die when he has sage growing in his garden?". The herb is also today generally acknowledged for its antiseptic, digestive and calming abilities. Sage has always been used in the kitchen to give aroma to meat. Today it is used with meat, together with butter as a very tasty condiment to pasta dishes or fried.
